I see the movie Public Enemies is going to be filming in Columbus WI. We were in Columbus last summer and thought it was a pretty town. Johnnie Depp coming to WI, may be worth a road trip!

kate, My mom lives in Columbus and filming starts Monday the 17th. She saids its cool. But kind of a pain in the rump because everything is detoured

Waukegan was used quite a bit for movie locations and I remember people taking off of work or coming in dog tired from watching the filming!

Waukegan is known for their expressway to nowhere, brainchild of some city planner and great for movie scenes! Batman and Blues Brothers come to mind.

When I go see my sister in Iowa in May, I'll make a point of going through Columbus instead of taking the expressway around!
