1) Where in WI do you currently live? Region or city, doesnt matter. I live in Palm Harbor, FL. I was born in Eau Claire, and have posted numerous times in the Wisconsin forum.

2) Do you like it there?
I love Palm Harbor but I also love Eau Claire.

3) Were you born in WI? If so, where?
Yes, again I was born in Eau Claire.

4) If born out of state, how/why did you end up here. Do you like living here?

5) Whats your favorite city/town in the state?
Eau Claire, La Crosse, Chetek, Madison

6) Whats your favorite region of the state?
The Northwoods.

7) What do you like least about the state?
The lack of diversity outside of Milwaukee and Madison.

8) What do you like most about the state?
That it has by far the friendliest residents in the US.

9) Whats your favorite state park/recreation area in the state?
The Chetek Chain of Lakes.

10) If you could move somewhere else, where would you like to go?
Atlanta, GA or Twin Cities, MN

11) What's a major life goal for you?
It purchase my first home within 2 years.

I am a Promotional Sales Territory Manager for an herbal supplement corporation.

Of course it would have to be Eau Claire.

I liked it a lot more before the newer homes started going up. Now it's getting fairly built up and crowded.

Crivitz, WI--love to go whitewater rafting, and it's away from the hustle-and-bustle.

Northern WI.

Endless snowstorms--especially these last two years.

The diverse seasons.

Bong Recreation--lots of horseback riding.

London or Boston.

Start my own engineering firm along with a horse farm.

I'm currently a college student. Will graduate w/ B.S. in industrial engineering in May.

Move it north to migrate more of the population away from the overcrowded cities along the southern side of WI.

This is a beautiful area, a nice mix of farmland and woods/forest

I was born in Texas.

I moved to Milwaukee after high school

My favorite is always the last one I have visited, we were just in Phillips last week, can't wait to go back when it's warm.

I like the central and northern part of the state best.

I agree with you, the taxes.

Agree, again, the diversity in our landscape.

Door county, the Chain of Lakes in Waupaca county, followed by Lake Michigan.

We've always wanted a winter home down in Missouri, maybe even as far south as Texas

Got back to Europe for a few weeks, then Mexico, maybe hunt Canada

Needed to get away from the the nasty winters in Western Washington. Yes - I moved to Wisconsin to get better winter weather

I don't know enough of them yet to really say but we've enjoyed Cedarburg.

We haven't really explored yet.

7) What do you like least about the state?
Alcohol drenched culture.

The people. Winter sunshine is a close 2nd.

So far the only one that we've been to much is the Horicon Marsh. Love the birds there but I'm looking forward to seeing more of the state.

10) If you could move somewhere else, where would you like to go?
Tough one - we were in pretty much that position not too long ago and ended up here I suppose if I could move anywhere in the world it would be to the Loire Valley.

11) What's a major life goal for you?
Bike tour across the United States.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to fill these out. It is fun to read. I love hearing about the different areas. My WI travel list keeps getting longer and longer. We will never be home this summer with all these awesome areas to explore. Can't wait to visit more of the state parks.

Great reading and mostly positive, a good thing. I need to get out and spend more time exploring. I've been all around the state except the NW corner (Superior, Bayfield) but need to stop and look closer rather than driving by and saying I've been there!

SusanCruz, Bayfield is a really nice area. I love Lake Superior so anywhere along there is a great place to visit.
I love reading places people like to visit. Makes me want to revisit many of them.
