Our kids were always good about moving. Even when they hated NH, they didn't complain much. They laughed it off. We still did tons of family things that kept them busy. They didn't have many friends but they had a few close friends. But my husband doesn't put up with whining from any of us.
I do agree that people here have gone out of the way to help out. I have always said that people in the northeast will keep strangers at arms length and it is true on this board too.
I love that this board has allowed me to meet some really great people.

I want to say how impressed I was how all of you tried to jump in and help tomcat6. This is why we love living here. People, for the most part, are so willing to go the extra mile to try and help.

me too....and my word, I can't even tell you how much I miss WI and the people. I just talked to my mom and it was snowing like mad on April 1st and I don't care...I could be packed and headed back in 30 minutes if I had the chance.
Very wonderful of you all to try and help...and I'm not one bit surprised. |

I thought it was nice that people really reached out to her too. And knowing Kate she would have done anything to help. I love WI people.

I agree, everyone really tried and in a nice manner.
I don't know why but I was looking at other states and noticed a post New England to Arkansas so I decided to read a little! Oh, my gosh, even in our worst (if there are any) moments, we don't disrespect each other. I think we are very good about agreeing to disagree in a civil manner.
The moderator was having to chime in alot. We're pretty solid and that is a good thing!

I find it very nice as well and we can only help those who will let us help them so keep up the good work. I really do love wisconsin and the ones who keep saying that wisconsin people are close minded are the ones in my opinion are close minded because they are the ones who are not giving their community a chance and being open minded. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to you tomcat6.
