Lightbulb Schools in the Fox Cities

Hello! My husband and I are going to be looking to move to Wisconsin in a few years. However, we're coming to visit my family this summer for 8 days and we'll have some free time. We are very interested in learning more about the schools in the Fox Valley. Are there any schools that stand out as being better than others or schools that people would not recommend? We want our children to be in a decent school system and that will really affect on where we chose to purcahse a home. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

ptroy is on a distinguished road
I went to Highlands for Elementary, Appleton West for High school and Wilson for Middle School. All are pretty diverse schools, because you have people from different areas of the city attending those schools. Appleton North is newer and on the North side of town, a lot of newer more expensive homes out there. Appleton East basically serves the south side of Appleton, so it covers a wide variety of areas. As far as quality of school, West is a little more "ghetto" if you want to put it that way. When I was in school there were so many pregnant teen moms that they offered a teen parenting class. Overall, I didn't think it was a bad school, learned a lot. As for the other schools I would imagine they're a little better, North is the newest and most modern. East is fairly old my mom graduated from there, and West is the oldest.
