Expect winter. Long range forcast at this time is for winter weather well for most of March. Snow storms are common in March, and snow in April is no unusual at all. Bring a warm hat and gloves, even long johns if you've got them, and leave the golf clubs at home.

Here in North Carolina, we are well into Spring weather by that time.

Can anyone tell me what the typical weather and average temperatures are there in March?

I need to plan what type of clothing to bring.

Thanks for any suggestions!
Could be below freezing with a blizzard or 60 degrees. It's looking like the start of March is going to be below 20s.

Green Bay in March still plan on winter for sure, it will be milder than the Northwoods for certain. Those locations can often have feet of snow on the ground in March.

In the Upper Midwest March generally comes in like a lion (cold, sometimes lots of snow) and goes out like a lamb (warmer, sometimes shorts weather). Be prepared for all of those.

With all the snow we have had I doubt it will melt soon. Last year we were snow free by the 2nd week of March. Of course we got dumped on the middle of April.

I received a Facebook update from Eagle River advising people not to travel yesterday due to having snow equipment mechanical issues. They have quite the deep snow cover right now.

I don't think I'd go too nuts.

I'd first and foremost make sure whatever shoes your bringing are snow-friendly or otherwise have galoshes, and maybe a polar fleece and a heavier coat. This assumes that you're not spending all day outdoors of course.
