Default Thinking about moving back....

I'm originally from Superior, Wisconsin and my husband and I are considering moving back to the Wisconsin/Minnesota area. I brought him out there right before my grandmother died (2003) and he loved the North Shore and surrounding areas.

I realize there isn't a lot in Superior, but my husband being from Wyoming, and I, kind of like it that way. We're not into the night life or anything; we have four kids and are wanting to purchase some land (around 20-40 acres) and build our own home....

My husband wants to live somewhere near water (duh! there's TONS of water in the area....Wyoming has one pond...Alcova "Lake"...oh, and I forgot Seminoe Resevoir). But we don't want to live anywhere too populated....

any suggestions??? thanks in advance!

I'm a nurse so I can get work anywhere...and my husband is self-employed....he would like to start a boat repair business or whatever suits him at the time....so employment isn't much of a concern for us.

Land in Rusk County going cheap, and alot of lakes around and Marshfield clinics and hospitals plenty. Barron and Chippewa county be good also. Many hobby farms up for sale and hard to sell so buyers market. Thing here in this area have lakes and rivers can boat on and so many within hours drive can fish whatever really want, plus have good hunting in area if he is interested. Still wooded and open land for the buyer to get and places get good chunk very cheap.
Good luck and welcome wherever decide, but small town living and cheap land this area good.

have you looked into hayward and spooner? I know that hayward has some nice little shops and spooner has the annual rodeo. I also think that they have the lumber jack events (sorry not 100%) Any place you choose in northern wisconsin will be beautiful. GOOD LUCK!
