Smile Looking for a place to live during summer intern in Sheboygan

Hi, I am a student and I have a three-months intern in Kohler this summer. I've never been to Wisconsin before and have no car. I am wandering where I can rent a living place in this small town for just three months. I hope it can be close to the company, has public transportation to the company and be quite ....The price cannot be too hign.

As I am a sigle young lady, I am also worried about my safety in this unknown area. Could you give me some suggestions on how to keep safe and meanwhile enjoy life here?

Looking forward to your reply!

Check with your contact on the internship. In the past Kohler Co. has had places you can rent in Kohler. If you are without a car, you really need to live in Kohler or in Sheboygan Falls (and rely on a bicycle). Another thought is to see if it is possible through the Kohler Company employee newspaper if you can put in an ad to rent a room or summer housesit or something along those lines. Check with your HR contact or Intern contact. I am orginally from there....

by the way...you will be quite safe in Kohler and the areas. Also summer you have daylight much later so your walk or bike commute will be easier.

I agree with diegosmon, you will need to live in Kohler as there are no buses that run there from Sheboygan. At least I do not believe so. Kohler or Sheboygan Falls both will be very safe places to live. Sheboygan as a whole is very safe as well. Good luck with your internship.

June,
I would look at getting a car or talk with your HR recruiter, Kohler is a small town, and isn't going to have public transportation. Your best bet may be to look for a cheap car, or figure out other transportation arrangements. What is the internship anyways? Also, check with the HR recruiters they might have housing stipends that they give you, since I assume you're coming from out of wisconsin. If you need contact info, I happened to be on my school's site looking for internships and they listed these two as HR recruiters for Kohler
