My husband has a job offer in Delavan.
The schools aren’t highly rated there is there any areas near by that have good schools and are pretty safe?
Also my son has autism does this town or areas nearby have any speech or occupational therapy providers near by?

You might want to look at the eastern edge of Janesville (east of I-90) for housing/school purposes if he can stomach the commute (potentially 15-20+ miles depending on start/end points), especially during the winter months when there could easily be snow and ice on the roads. Good, safe area with good schools. US-14/WI-11 will run you right from that area into Delavan. But in that part of Janesville you have access to pretty much everything you need as it's a large city and the county seat. Delavan, on the other hand, has what seems like a handful of stores and not a lot going on. Perfect for someone looking for a quiet, peaceful life, I'm sure. Or if you're a migrant farm worker.

As for your son's needs, here's a map of the service area: https://autismsouthcentral.org/about-us/about-asgm/ and the site has various links to see what services are offered. I would try to contact those different groups (Janesville is Rock County while Delavan is Walworth County) and ensure that your son would be eligible and have access to services right away or if there might be some kind of waiting list. Good luck!
