Hmmmm. Fiberglass cows? Where can us users find them usually? Maybe a cheese shop? I'm not sure we're on the same page here. Maybe try De Forest they have a cheese place off of 90/94/39. Please fill us in.

I know they had cows in Chicago, & we had the Beasties downtown which I thought were so cute, I totally want one!

Wow. I do live in my own little world. I thought everyone knew about the "cows." They are all over Madison for awhile. Very cute and creative. I always felt like it was sort of a rip off of the Chicago cows though. They did it first.

Madison usually does a summer display of decorated fiberglass cows, and starting in about June, you'll find them all over the downtown area. Last summer, there were a bunch of Wizard of Oz cows around the Capitol Building (which is actually quite appropriate, when you think about it) and various other themes were scattered throughout the downtown area.

If memory serves, at the end of the public display, the cows are auctioned off to benefit charities, and the new owners usually display them on their own property. There's one behind a dentist's office on Eastwood Drive that gets "dressed" on a regular basis by one of the employees there, providing chuckles to those who commute by there each day. Said cow has worn Wisconsin Badger red during the fall, Packer green and gold (complete with little footballs stuck on the horns) during the playoffs, a lovely Easter bonnet, red-white-and-blue bunting for Fourth of July, and all manner of other garb at various points over the past year or two.
