Wautoma is growing pretty rapidly. The area is starting to develop as a vacation/resort area. Most of it is still pretty rural.

Wautoma has always been a bit of a vacation spot for all the Illinois and Milwaukee people -- both neighbors on either side (at
Pearl Lake) drive from those places and have since I can remember -- the cottage is my grandparents who are from Ripon.... But it has grown, mostly in response to changing needs of vacationers and weekenders.
