Fort Atkinson anyone? (Madison: house prices, elementary schools, college)

I am currently looking into South Wisconsin as my new place to live and this forum gave me tons of information about many great locations, but not one mention about Fort Atkinson. From what I was able to find out, it seems like a very nice place to raise kids (we have two little boys). Can anyone confirm that? Would appreciate any info.

Hi,

I lived there quite a long time ago, just out of college and it was a very nice town. I imagine it has grown quite a bit since Madison has had such a housing price increase over the years.

Looks like the public elementary schools do well, I didn't look at the the other stats.

Hi quick question: Are there any private schools in the area? I am not sure we would need one if the schools are as great as everyone is saying. We also have little children (3). WHat are the house prices like?

I would highly recommend Fort Atkinson, I lived there for 4 years. I'm currently downtown mIlwaukee. Anyone looking for a very clean town and very nice people and great schools fort is it.
