Hey everyone, its sunny today and there are people outside doing things! I'm going out there too~

As a travel agent, where would you recommend one stay in the Dells? We're coming up next summer for approx 2 weeks and I want to spend at least one or two days there. We have a daughter and she will be 3 by the time we go. We'd love to do the waterpark thing. What would you recommend for a short visit to the Dells? I havent been there since 1989.

Just got back inside after enjoying a wonderful morning down by the river at just one of our local parks in the wonderful sunshine. It wasn't too hot and there was a lovely breeze. Saw a lot of people heading on out in their boats (Greenheck had a bass tournament), kayaks, kids fishing and swimming, people walking. This afternoon there's a water ski show that they have every Sunday. I think I might head on down since I haven't been for a few weeks.

Default I am from Kenosha

I really don't know what your problem is. I also live in Kenosha and I don't get bored. Only boring people get bored. That is my opinion. Get some friends, get a hobby and get a life. Sure, I like to go to bars and Kenosha is especially known to have at least 1 bar on every corner. There is nothing wrong with that. People in Wisconsin tend to be very proud of the state....for a reason! In Kenosha, there is a lot of things to do. Go for a hike through chiwaukee Prairie, bird watching in the prairie, go fishing (alot of nice fishing in Kenosha) go to the museum downtown( they offer great programs for kids to join also) try the Action Territory, Stop in at the Bristol Renaissance Fair, Wilmot speedway, Dairyland Greyhound Park, art galleries, outdoor theater, Kenosha History Museum, Ukes Harley Museum, attend an orchestra concert at Reuther, Rhode opera House is great, Harbor maretplace, Buy a ticket for a boat tour and explore Lake Michigan and fish, Diver Dans Scuba Center offers scuba lessons and tours, Go bowling, Congo River Golf and exploration Co., tour the historic Kemper Center, have a cook out and hang out with good friends and a have a few BEERS and BRATS and watch the PACKER game. (that is if you are able to make friends...doubt it) If you don't have any beer or brats, I could always BORROW you some!!! Cuz us Ignorant backwoods Wisconsin Folk is nice peoples that way ya know. This list doesnt even include the surrounding areas of Kenosha, it would be too long, really.I could go on and on about all there is to do, but what is the point. You obviously do not want to leave your house and explore. You are in the Mid West now girl, so live that way or get out.

Default Wisconsin Rules!

Wisconsin is one of the most beautiful States in the US! There is nothing boring about this State! The people here are fun-out-going and laid back. They know how to smell the roses and have a good time. Where are you from?? Do you need constant materialization type of fun? That is the best part about Wisconsin-we know how to have a hell of a good time without having everything handed to us!

Who are you anyways?!

Default Wisconsin is not boring

I think it depends on which city or town you're talking about. The culture varies greatly across the state. I find where I'm living now extremely boring, but where I lived previously in Wisconsin was great -- I was NEVER bored. I don't think it's reasonable to make a broad, sweeping conclusion about a whole state. I'm sure that there are even more interesting areas or people where I'm living now -- it just hasn't been my experience.

Now there's a Wisconsinite for ya! "live that way or get out"....LOL....thanks for proving my point. So welcoming. You certainly are defensive and angry. So sorry to offend you by saying that your state is boring. I must correct the majority of you: I did not say that I am boring, or that I get bored. I said that Wisconsin is boring. Do not confuse the state with a person. The fact that Wisconsin is boring does not mean that I get bored. I am the kind of person who keeps myself busy. Thank you for thinking that you know about my personal life and hobbies or lack of hobbies, because I said that your state is a boring place. My hobbies can go with me wherever I do. And in Wisconsin's defense, I believe there are worse places. There, does that comfort your crying self a bit? But it is boring, plain and simple. You do not need to get angry with me because I don't think Wisconsin is cool. It's funny how you think you're so friendly, and you'd probably say you're open-minded too, but when someone doesn't agree with you, you tell them to get out. I will as soon as I can, that is certain. If you want to kick people out of your drunken state, it'll happen. But I cannot just hop on a bus and leave tomorrow. In time, Honey, in time. You are also saying that you doubt I am able to make friends? This became very personal for some people who wish to decipher my personality. You do not know me, but I know Wisconsin. Anyone that I have ever talked to who has lived or spent time in other states and can compare from true experience, agrees that other states are much friendlier. You may not like me, (lol...the only thing you know about me is that I think Wisconsin is uncool) but I never said I don't like you. lol.......oh, by the way, I've been to the museum. I didn't appreciate it since it was from a certain point of view which is not based on science. But if you wanna talk about that, I guess we should start a different thread.

Default Hey give the boopster a break

She has some valid points I live in wi and have for a ton of years that I was not in the USMC. As for a friendly state, I think people are friendly not exactly states. As for countries...we are pretty rude folks. Ever been to Japan, Korea. Those folks are nice nice nice. Ever notice how people driving around look so angry??? And this is in a small town in North WI. As for boring, ya it is boring compared to alot of places, BUT some people like boring...I do. BOring as compared to vegas.Yes. Boring as compared to the plains in south dakota? No. The question to ask yourself...If you had an unlimited supply of money would you still live in WI? I am talking a billionaire. Would you stay? I for one would probably leave to Alaska, but I am not a billionaire so I will stay here. Wi has plenty of rude people. I for one believe they are all from Ill but that is my opinion. Mayberry is dead all across the country. I guess we have all become rude as compared to when I was a kid. Just my opinion
