My good friend had an option to have his own Tires Plus franchise. He compared Mil\Janesville vs Kansas City KS. The operating cost difference in taxes per year would have been $18,000 more in WI, apples to apples. Milwaukee, Beloit, Racine were even more.

If you could put an extra $18,000 into your business, where would you locate?

Our biggest problems are outsourcing and wall street. The price of gas isn't because of the war on terror. Those speculators are driving it up and if the US doesn't threaten oil producing countries by lifting our bans on offshore drilling, we are going to be at their mercy and the ones getting richer on wall street.
