Tornadoes/Flooding/Winds/Lightining: WI Weather Weekend June 6-8 (Fond du Lac: mall, post office)

Wow, all we got were some light sprinkles in Door County over the weekend, with some distant thunderstorms at night. Hope everyone stays safe with all the rain! Yikes!

we were supposed to head up again this morning.... just like last weekend, that huge line of Tstorms is barreling down on Sauk County again.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

the first one is the road that leads down to the cottage then th enext few are inside then the last one was just taken yesterday the water had gone down a couple inches-i know my aunt has lost a lot of stuff

Hopefully all these lines of t-storms will end soon and flood waters will start to recede.

Tornado watch for all of Southeastern Wisconsin currently (1:30pm locally here on Thursday, 6.12).

Big line of thunderstorms rolling in. Projecting 2 to 3 inches of rainfall potentially. If it drops that much rain over some communities here and drops it hard, some bodies of water are in trouble.

Flooding is the most devastating because very few people are insured or can recover much for damages. I know too many people who lost everything last August from floods in eastern MN. Honestly, I will never live near a body of water or on a bluff (I saw horrific mudslides taking entire homes) again. When we rebuild, we need to consider that our climate might be changing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sounds like a massive storm rolled through the Mukwonago area. I-43 is closed near Mukwonago due to storm damage and two UPS semis overturned due to the storms.

That storm is now over Lake Michigan, but some nasty ones appear headed this way again. We had a tornado warning in Downtown Milwaukee, but nothing came of it fortunately.

Might be a long night.

I lived in Wisconsin for 10 years and visited many of the areas that have been badly flooded during that time, so I share in the sadness that these floods have brought.

The month I moved from there to San Antonio, this part of Texas had a 100-year flood that made a real mess of things. Things were as good as new within 2 years, so even though the situation may seem bleak now, it is possible to recover.

It may take a few years for the damaged areas there to recover, but I also know that people there are highly motivated to pitch in and bring everything back to its original beauty. Good luck and best wishes to everyone affected.
