Here in Greendale, it has been a semi-ugly night. Not terribly severe in terms of tornadoes / severe t-storms, etc., but just massively heavy rainfalls. I only continue to thank God that my electricity hasn't gone out...as I cannot even imagine what would happen then (with my sump pump shutting off too).

Seriously, is there anything more revered right now in Southeastern Wisconsin than our sump pumps???

Goodness, I would be eager to hear of how everyone survived tonight. It is currently 12midnight locally, and it looks like another strong line is heading this way...sure to be more heavy rains (at best) or severe storms (at worst) tonight with the possibility of tornadoes. We are still under a tornado watch until 2am.

Hang in there folks...survive this stretch, and when it finally dries out and gets warm for "summer" in July...the massive flock of mosquitos from this massive flooding will be hitting us!!! Yeesh.

well, i got out to Lake Delton this weekend.... the actual lake.

and you see all the images and video clips on the internet... but nothing can prepare you for actually witnessing it. It will leave you almost speechless.

It was an unbelievable feeling walking where water once stood only days before.

seeing piers 10-15+ feet in the air .... boats sitting in the sand.

There was a river that has cut it's way thru the lake bed... making its way to the river.

Truly stunning.

Nice Pics!!! Fond du Lac, WI's Fond du Lac River was so high, buildings had 3 feet of water in them 2 miles away from it. The mall was flooded, post office flooded, and 3 feet of water on Hwy 23!!! I live just south of Fond du Lac and the river .5 miles west in our woods was 10 feet deep while its usually 6 in! Water was all the way up to our hous and we live on a hill!!!! Crazy....
