Anybody ever been to Mazomanie Beach? (friendly, clothes, roach)

I'm thinking about going there for my first time. Your thoughts and/or experiences there? I wonder if it's flooded out with all the rain we've had

I've heard alot about it but haven't ever visited. Being on the Wisconsin River, I would imagine now wouldn't be a great time, later maybe after the weather settles down.

I know there is alot of controversy over it being clothing optional. I've never been there but heard it's a peaceful setting. I'm not to big on the whole public nudity idea. What ever floats your boat.

From what I heard it's pretty well-behaved and there's actually no more indecent behavior there than anywhere else. It's just a place to go where people can feel "natural"

Gorgeous scenery (naked or not), and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. They do a terrific job of self-policing, and people WILL approach you if you start making out or openly gawking or jerkin yer pud from behind a bush, etc. The Mazo loyalists understand that inappropriate behavior is the surest way to stir up controversy and lose their naturist privileges there, so there is a strong code of conduct enforced by the beach community. But if you just want to feel the sunshine on your skin, or discretely enjoy a little exhibitionism or voyeurism, it's great. Understand, however, that most of the beach patrons are frumpy middle-aged folks. Of course there are a few hotties there too, but generally speaking this ain't no beer commercial.

No beer commercial, that's a good one. I'd imagine Mazo must have been busy with all the heat we had lately.

Mazo is a beautiful sandy beach. The water there is pretty warm and good to swim in, too. You may get strange looks if you decide to leave your clothes on, as people assume you have come to gawk...so I suggest taking them off, as everyone else will be nude. I have seen everyone there from elderly to young families with children. They also have a nude Olympics that is a lot of fun. Anyways, I would highly recommend going, as it is a beautiful setting, and, once you get used to everyone being nude, it is a great place to relax!
