Great pictures of a not so great event, but a good perspective on your part.

Thanks Susan. I was running all over this weekend. It's been a huge pain to get somewhere though because most of our roads are closed.

Great pictures Josh.
They show you the enormous force of water.

I really hate all this water, I mean I lost 2 weeks pay because our auto auction has been shut down. That's definetly going to affect my income and others.

I don't think we will ever know how much this floods cost financially, in property and crop damage, lost wages and lost revenue for Wisconsin.

Absolutely right and what amazes me is the people who say, well, I'm glad it isn't here where I live, doesn't affect me.
What they don't get is the major impact the midwest states have on the whole country. Wisconsin and Iowa are in bad shape and all that water is headed for Illinois and Missouri, the Mississippi river, and on and on. Wisconsin and Iowa have all those fields and the eastern part of Iowa has major big farms for mellons, etc.
I'm one of these big picture people, I always think of natural disasters no matter where they are as having an impact and they do, some more than others.

Wow. Isn't it amazing the damage that can be caused by something as simple as water? I think "big picture" as well because disasters of this type and size really do impact everyone.
Hard to believe that I had to run the sprinkler this afternoon in an attempt to get grass seed to germinate.

We weren't hit with the rain like the southern part of the state. It is unbelievable what havoc the rain has caused. Hoepfully,in time, everyone will recover.
