Whats happening in WI the week of the 4th?
My brother and I are going to take aroad trip across the state sometime during the week of July 4th. Any suggestions on where to head, events that are going on that week, etc?

Minocqua! We usually head up sometime in the summer and I know the 4th of July is big up there.

Two Rivers/Manitowoc has lots of events planned, Two Rivers has the band concert with fireworks, Manitowoc, too, I believe. There is always the wonderful lake with great beaches and 12 miles of paths!

i checked the summerfest schedule already, but there's no good shows playing. except for john mellencamp, but that's on a weekend.

Ok, not Wisconsin but Minnesota has it's Taste of Minnesota celebration over the week of the 4th and has various concerts each night. If you get to the western side of WI, it is only about 20 minutes into downtown St. Paul for that.

We did that one year, it was fun. Also found a parade and fireworks in Minneapolis by surfing the web.
