Need some advice for my trip to Rhineland August 1st.
My brother and two other friends will be staying at the Lake George campground in Rhinelander. Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed there? What can we do in Rhinelander besides fish? What are the must east restaurants up there? Of course we will be hitting up a Friday night fish fry any recomendations for that?
Thanks, Josh

You should go on the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce website to see what's going on the time you'll be up there. The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the Northwoods of Wisconsin!
You can of course go fishing, that's a huge thing up there, horseback riding, boating, kayaking, take a trip to Minocqua (try not to go during the weekend it's a nightmare of tourist jams)-there's a ton of bars to go to, my parents always go to The White Stag for dinner. I don't know, I go up there all the time & usually hang out on the boat or head over to Pine Harbor Bar. You'll find stuff to do no problem.

Two places come to mind for this favorite destination of mine.
Downtown. Just walk around downtown at twilight, enjoy the century old architecture.
Pioneer park. Really good logging museum, including a rare narrow gauge logging locomotive from
the Thunder Lake Lumber co. Rhinelander was built upon the old lumber industry.
Lots of history there.

Little logging museum is great. Bars galore aand cannot remember names of places too eat so many. There is some good all you can eat fish fry's up there also so ask around.
If not want all fishing and someone suggested Minocqua, go to Pecks wilderness walk.Full of critters and some nice bucks wondering around. Also a mini golf, horse ride place there but watch construction on 51 north.Lac Du Flambeau has the casino.
Enjoy and have a great time.
