Isn't that the truth, middle of Aug. next week, geesh!!! I was in Iowa all weekend, talk about hot, great seeing my family but nice to be back home, too!

Ten adults and 9 kids from age 13 to 3, what a hoot! Funny thing was one of my nephews marched them all in to a country show we were going to see, everyone was watching him so he pipes up these are not all my kids!!!

The interesting part was meeting a young lady (13) from Japan who is part of a summer 4H exchange program. She is staying with my nephew for 3 weeks. They have 6 kids and figured one more was not a problem! She didn't speak too much English but sang along with the music at the show.

I live over in Baraboo and the dew point has been hovering in the 60's with 70+% humidity. Is the lakeside that much more comfortable?

What a break today in the weather! I am so glad to be rid of the humidity, lakeside hasn't been helpful on the humid front or the heat for that matter!

I went to the Green Bay game last night, fortunately we were on the shady side, it was warm at first then cooled off a little. Awesome to go to a game, too bad they lost but what a fun experience!

Hey folks... I don't know how many of you know about Blastomycosis which affects Canada and parts of the Midwest, but please read up on it. It's not just in Lincoln County! At the begining of July I almost died from it. It manifested itself in me as the flu (headaches, bodyaches, tight chest, etc) and before I knew it I was being rushed into the hospital's ICU.

I had heard about the fungus, but didn't really pay much attention. I love being outdoors and gardening, but no one knows where I got it or how.

I take it you are ok now? I never heard anything about this until you wrote about it.

How has everyone been? I just finished my first day of college. I have been out of high school for three years now so going back was a little tough.

Gotta say, I hate this cold weather. Please bring back 85 and sunny with no chance for clouds or meatballs.
