We didn't get what they were predicting either, probably about four inches at the most. The storm mush have tracked farther north.

My sister is in the UP (between Rapid River and Manistique) south of US 2, she said they got at least 8 inches.
I just thought the thunder was awesome! Its pretty icey here and not very easy to scrape up.

We only got something like 4 inches in Stevens Point, and here I thought it was going to be a big storm.

I loved the lightning with the sleet, a cool combo.

Well how's everyone been lately? The forum has been pretty quiet lately.
Well last Tuesday a fellow Portage man was killed in action when he hit a roadside bomb in the middle east. Today was his funeral and Governor Jim Doyle was there as well as numerous law enforcement agencies. The man who died was only 24 and was done with his term, he was called back to duty.
There is so much support for the family locally. Signs everywhere across town et cetera. Flags were flown at half staff today as well.

I saw that on the news, and the support is awesome. A good thing when people come together to support each other, no matter what their view points might be.
Boards have been quiet, people are either very busy or suffering the last round of winter doldrums!

Been busy here. We got a virus at work, so I've been busy. I've deleted close to 6000 emails since yesterday afternoon.
Not fun. Sort of gloomy out there, but the temp is nice.

Susan, Highways were lined from Madison to Portage when they had the procession. In town when the funeral was making it's way to the final burial site (Packwaukee, WI) folks lined the sides of highways and streets. The support was out of this world. They had a ladder truck on each side of the street with a huge American flag hanging from each boom, fully extended. It show's the true colors of our community. I'm proud of the community for what they can really do for a family.
They said the procession was a few miles long with over twenty police cars from various agencies.
Hanke, I just had 76 viruses removed from my laptop, Not good!
