Yeah, they sell food as fundraisers, going to garage sales all day makes people hungry and gives the hubbies a place to hang out and b.s. while the gals hit the sales!

I really like the all town ones because you get a map and don't have to hunt the newspapers for addresses! Its like a major block party!

It was a beautiful day yesterday!! Well...... after the storm passed.

We spent the day on the Wolf River fishing. We got on the river by 9:30 in the morning and left around 2:30 in the afternoon. No trophies, but a lot of fun. The walleyes are done spawning, I think. We only caught one. The white bass are just starting. We caught a few of those.

We went up the river for about two miles, did our fishing in a couple of different spots, then just drifted back down to the landing. Eighty-four degrees!! It was a great day to spend just relaxing with a fishing pole in hand, whether you caught any fish or not.

The ospreys must have little ones, they were flying back and forth with fish. I didn't have much luck getting a decent picture though.

What a dreary day, rain, clouds, breezy. What happened to the beautiful weather yesterday?

I think perhaps it was just an illusion! Josh - off track here for WI - but.... what are you planning on seeing/doing different this time in TN from your prior trip? I didn't realize your trip is coming up soon - lucky you- I'm assuming the weather should be quite nice.

I'm hitting up Mt. Mitchell, unlike last year. It was closed due to winds. I will probably do the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. Maybe hit up Knoxville. I plan on going through IL all the way down then through Paducah over to Nashville to Knoxville. Just a different route this year.

Josh: That sounds like an excellent route - we took that once to Chattanooga. I'm not familiar with Mt. Mitchell - where is that? The Blue Ridge Parkway will be out of this world!

Sounds like an awesome trip, Josh! This is why I like C-D! Someone mentions something and you learn alot! I've been to Asheville twice and did not know about Mt. Mitchell! It says they opened a new observation area Jan. '09, great for you! Pictures posted are great. Enjoy!

On your way down you can take a little detour through Cairo to see the town that time forgot but then again very depressing so not a good idea.
