Anyone here about the major bust in the illegal drug cartel that took place in Watertown? Wow, I'm surprised, such a sleepy little town and something like this happens. Such a shame.

No I didn't hear about it. But that would be the perfect place to do something like that. A small quiet town with maybe just one cop.

Joe, I think you hit the nail on the head. Their is 25,000 people there. Still it's just a little midwestern town and this happens. You feel as though you lose a little freedom when something like this happens.

I guess nothing should surprise anybody in the day and age we're living in. We're experiencing more and more robberies of banks and businesses around here lately. Years ago one occurrence would have been such a shock. Unfortunately it will get worse not better - very sad.

Good Morning Everyone.
The town I live in has around 28,000 people and our first and only murder was in 1996. Grandaughter murdered grandma and coincidentally fled to Wisconsin. I can remember it shook up alot of people but the town I live in is still " semi sleepy"

It is a shame but drugs are everywhere and certainly not exclusive to cities. It is probably more spread out to smaller communities than anyone realizes.

I agree, Susan.
On another note, was anyone else affected by all those storms that rolled through today?
At one time there was five counties with tornado warnings. We had a tornado touch down over by Cambria here in Columbia County. Some bad storms. We didn't get anything in Portage, just some sprinkles.
