Shooting in Niagara
Gunman opens fire on swimmers in Wisconsin; 3 dead - Yahoo! News (broken link)
Wow! I live across the lake in Michigan, but I'm stunned to hear about this incident. What is wrong with people?!!! Why would someone shoot innocent swimmers minding their own business?
I wish the best for the families of the victims and hope the gunman is quickly caught.`

Horrible situation, just opening fire on innocent people. Something you would never think of some years back, now becoming all to frequent.
Takes the wind out of your sails, thinking about those families today.

Such a sad story. Three very young lives taken just like that, one is injured?

There is no way, in a climate so beautiful as the Wisconsin/UP border, that you should have to think about personal safety from random and senseless violence. Summers in this region are so special.
This is horribly tragic. I can't imagine this pain.

just plain awful
my heart goes out to those families. I hope we get the story on this dud, and very thankful for the fact that he was caught quickly. I thing many foks are getting tired of the crazies out there, it's getting spooky. Places that were always considered safe are now questionable. Getting tired of being "on guard".
God bless folks

Just lliving in this day and age is scary! Every day the news is bringing us one nuttier than the next! I guess this just shows us that no place is safe. How sad is that??!

I feel so sorry for the victims of this horrible tragedy. I actually drove through Niagara a few years ago because it was on the same road leading into Iron Mountain, MI. I wouldn't really call the area spooky, but you could tell the area was slightly economically depressed.

I totally agree with you!! what's going on with people. I also heard about a guy who shot his lawnmower cause he was mad at it. that should throw up red flags. It's like people have all this pent up anger. well, anyway my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims families it's just tragic.
