You mean all 700 of them. There are more than seven blacks living in Appleton. More like 700.

Being black shouldn't matter no matter where you are at. Just look at all the suburban white kids wanting to be black, oh and our black president. It's not the 50's anymore, I'm pretty sure Appleton has seen their first black person by now but then again I could be wrong.

True, it shouldn't matter. With that in mind, in some cases, the person who stands out can sometimes attract the most unwanted attention. That should be kept in mind.

700 lol sounds like alot! And yeah I would be 701 if I could get a good paying job but I'm still looking around for the best place to suit me. It's all about the Job and afforability. I will be sending out my resume and calling around to see what I can find. But Appleton would be perfect if I could live there with decent pay!

Computer Blue....If you don't find what your looking for in Wisconsin, your second choice should be Charlotte NC. Your industry is booming there. It's also the favorite destination for young black professionals if you want more diversity. Atlanta is good too but you have to live in the right area and traffic is a nightmare.

Yeah but it's growing and I can't stand traffic. Too hot in the south my body hates heat and I'm so miserable in hot climate weather. It's no fun when u haft to take 5 showers during the day! (a little exaggerated ) I want snow and short summers if any summer at all. Charlotte is pretty though. Actually North Carolina as a whole is nice. I think it's really hard to find a place with middle ground. But today I told myself when I was driving home from downtown dallas and getting on the freeway with traffic backed all the way up and taking me an hour in half to get home I said I would rather work for less money and live some place smaller. I can't take it anymore 10 bucks an hour I'm straight lol...no more commute man!
DALLAS IS A NIGHTMARE AND I CAN'T WAKE UP GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Considering the part of Wisconsin Appleton is in, that is quite so, but considering that Milwaukee, Racine, Madison, Kenosha, and even little Beloit have much larger numbers, Appleton doesn't have a large black population, especially considering Appleton's size. Still, if you want affordability and a job, you might want to check out Appleton. I would keep trying.

Yes I see it's very affordable and I hear Information technology is in demand. I have checked out some good sites for looking for jobs in my field and Appleton was not bad I just had to dig a little. Madison was huge in my field but tempting as it is to move there I see somethin a little smaller. Yeah more black people in the southern portion of Wisconsin. But I hope Appleton stays pretty small. I see a negative growth on the city-data opening page on Appleton. I would expect a plus but who knows on the accuracy of population census. Well Appleton is my 1st choice. I plan to go visit soon if the winter would permit it lol

The very reasons I left Atlanta. BTW...the most I have taken are 3 showers a day! No Joke!
