Question Questions about Wisconsin.

What is Green Bay and Appleton like? Are they nice? I'm thinking of moving to Wisconsin and want to know where's the nicest place to live there. Thanks.

17271, these questions arise all the time. And they get answered all the time. For starters, you can page back through these threads and get a good sense of those two towns. Beyond that, it will be helpful for you to tell us your situation, family, what kind of work, education, what do you like to do in spare time, those kinds of things. What looks nicest to you may not appeal to others, so if we had a sense of who you were and what you were looking for, we could help to get you matched up. Where are you coming from? Do you want something like that, or do you want to get away from that?

good luck

i've only been to each place a few times, but it seems to me that Appleton overall is more upscale and less crime, whereas Green Bay is more city-like and has more to do. again, i've only been to each place a few times.

i think i'd prefer Green Bay if i liked sports and boating.. and drinking beer.. Appleton seems more family-ish.

Appleton is like any other town it's size. Some neighborhoods are nice, some are old, some are new.

Both cities are near water if you like boating or fishing, both are near hunting areas if you like hunting.

So the best thing would be for you to spend a short time visiting each one. Better yet, rent a place in between so you can be near both, then decide where you want to live. They are probably no more than twenty miles apart.
