Default Sarah Palin

Has anyone heard that Sarah Palin's Great Grandparents started the rail line between Stanley and EauClaire? they are suppose to be burried in a cemetery in Stanley and her mother also. do not have a first name but the name Strong came up. found Stella Strong in Oak Grove cemetery in Eau Claire County B-1873 D1958. can anyone add to this. looked for cemetery names in Stanley and that is the only one I came up with. I know there are more than that there. I was born and raised in Stanley, and am now enjoying the weather here in ST. Pete Fl.
any help will be appreciated.....just wanted to double check on it.

I did a little bit of research about the lumbering era in the Blue Hills. However, this was a few years ago, so I don't remember as much, plus my focus was on activity in the Blue Hills, althought lumbering and railroads go hand in hand.

I don't remember the name Palin (but then I wasn't looking for it). It is my impression that Warehouser (sorry about the spelling--I didn't feel like looking it up) is responsible for most of the railroads in the area.

Here is one person's research: http://members.tripod.com/~sassmaster/tayl.html As I suspected, you would have to research if her ancestors owned a lumber company or railroad company and what that company's name was. I haven't found the name Strong in this research.

Sorry, I'm an expatriot from Wisconsin, too, so I can't look at the graveyard. However, I would want to know for definite what Palin's maiden name is and her mother's maiden name was. There is no use speculating on if they owned/built the railroad if we don't know the maiden names for sure.

I remember reading a news article online that stated the Stanley connection. Unfortunately, I can't find it now. It also said that Palin and Obama are 10th cousins. Doesn't really matter though, I still don't like her.

Mickey

I wouldn't be surprised she seems like a person who would enjoy that.

Sarah Palin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Palin was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, the third of four children of Sarah Heath (née Sheeran), a school secretary, and Charles R. Heath, a science teacher and track coach.[6] Her father is descended from English and German settlers.[7] The family moved to Alaska when she was an infant.
Can't vouch for the validity of this link but it's got a bunch of genealogical data too.
Meet the Real Sarah Palin: All in the Family

I'm sure people have researched the heck out of her so googling it might find your answer......
