I live in northeastern Wisconsin. Does anyone know if Boar's Head deli meats are sold here? I used to buy them in Florida.

I think that may be pretty tough to find here in Wisconsin. I know boars and cajun are much more prevelant in the south. We can give you plenty of venison though.

Is this a joke?!?!

Boar's Head is a brand of deli meat: ham/beef/etc., not a literally the meat off the head of a boar. I know they sell it at the Sendik's market in Bayside, WI (MKE County).

That's all I can give you. Sorry.

I was referring to the fact that you thought someone was litterally looking to procure a head of a boar...

Evidently you were not joking, just misinformed of the issue. No worries.

Not sure how far north and east you are but there's a newer deli/market, Live Oak Market at 119 E. College Avenue in Appleton, that sells Boar's Head deli meat. And if you're ever in the area, all the Sendik's Markets in Metro Milwaukee sell it as well.

Ron, I thought he meant go into a specialty meats shop and buy it. I don't know of any around Madison and so I recommended a place that is nationwide. I realized he wasn't looking for an actual boar, but rather the meat.

Boar's Head meats are all over the Mke area--primarily all of the Sendiks locations, perhaps even some local Pick-n-Saves carry the brand, too.

What a great surprise...because I don't live too far from that area. I will certainly try it. Thanks so much!
