Default Ghost Stories of Berlin, WI area.

Now I know weird things have happened and continue to happen in the Berlin, WI area. Going from Green Lake County up to Waupaca County, then from Adams County to the Lake side edge of Fond Du Lac County. Heck I would love to collect all the ghost stories of Wisconsin.

I just enjoy a good story like The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. That has a legend in a legend, Washington Irving is giving you 2 stories in one. I just am tired of know the surface of a legend in the Oakwood Cemetary.

The story is of a man who married 6 wives, (I think if not 6 then more than the average Joe would remarry), over the whole of his life. He killed each of his wives and the last one he killed was barried in the same tomb as he was. I have seen it, only in day light. On top carved into the tomb is a shallow bowl and a relief of a hand holding a knife. Now countless numbers of high school teens over the years have made a ritual out of sneaking into the cemetary and camp at that grave.

The common conclusion is that when the moon is full or after a fresh rain fall, the last wife is infuriated that she is stuck for eternity with the man that killed her. So in her furry blood pours from the hand filling the bowl, or the hand turns blood red.

Look either way I want to know more about this and other such stories.

Thank you. (excuse the bad spelling and grammar)
