They are saying we should get 4 inches starting tonight. Even though we don't have as much snow as the southern part of the state we are still 10 inches above normal for December. And I think 10 degrees below normal temps.
Last year and this year have really brought back the old fashion winters. A few years ago we didn't get our 1st real snow until New Years. I like these past 2 winters better.

Snowy here, too! Total is supposed to be 5", then more overnight to a total of 5" tomorrow, too!
Wind is blowing like crazy, I'm not going anywhere today or tomorrow either probably. I think this has to be the snowiest December I've ever seen.

It's not even January yet, and I'm already in that "I hate this snow!" stage.
Winter is the price I pay to live in a city with low crime, low cost-of-living, freeways that aren't gridlocked, trees, fresh air, a decided lack of tourists (except during EAA), and beautiful lakes.
I was thinking about my former home (San Diego) and realized that if I still lived there, the price I'd be paying for 60 degree winter days and no snow is: high crime, ridiculously high cost-of-living, gridlocked freeways, pollution, year-round rude tourists, and stinky oceans.
I'll take the winters.

OMGosh, enough already! We went home to Maine for a few days last week and were scheduled to fly back to Appleton Sunday night. Maine got hit with a BIG N'orEaster and all flights were cx'd. So we got rebooked for Monday. Just barely made it back between storms. It was certainly an adventure. We had hired a neighborhood guy to clear the driveway while we were gone and thank goodness we did! I think he's been here 3 times since then too. You can barely see the front of our little house and it's not even January. Looks like we may beat last years totals if this holds.

Wow! Glad you are back safe and sound, they keep showing on the news how all these storms are affecting the whole country, coast to coast.
I was supposed to stay in Iowa longer than we did but we left before the next storm, I hate driving on interstates in snowy windy weather.
