Default help....moving to manitowoc want advice.

My husband and I are retired We have visited Manitowoc many times in the past and fell in love with the small town feel. We are living in California now and are sick of the crowds, illegals taking over our schools and putting a strain on our health care system. Our freeways are turning into parking lots. We love to go to the beach, but by the time you sit in traffic it's time to come home. Other than telling me it's cold...I know that already! All in all is it as nice a place to retire as I'm hoping.

hi i think you will love manitowoc. it's small but quaint. the library is beautiful and there are some nice restaurants downtown. not a whole lot in the way of culture so you will need to drive to another sity for that. also you will need to go to green bay or appleton for shopping but it is a beautiful place to live i might move there myself.

I appreciate the info Shannon...have you ever visited there? When do you think you'd be moving there? How long of a drive is it to Appleton? I hear that's a beautiful town!
