Wi men accused of running down deer w/snowmobiles
More from the only in Wisconsin files. Let's get drunk and run down deer.
From WBAY-TV
Two Waupaca County brothers now face animal cruelty charges.
Authorities say Rory Kuenzi and his brother Robby, along with a friend, Nick Hermes, ran down a half-dozen deer with their snowmobiles last Friday, killing five. A sixth needed to be euthanized.
Dressed in county jail-issued orange jumpsuits, Robby and his older brother Rory made their initial appearance Friday with separate attorneys. Hermes was charged in Waupaca County court
According to the criminal complaints filed, Rory admitted to running down three deer in Waupaca County woods last week. He also told authorities his brother hit two deer.
It's a crime the sheriff says you just don't commit in Waupaca County.
"You don't take animals lightly here. This is a huge outdoor area. People love their outdoors, they respect their animals, and we don't take that lightly and I don't think anyone should," Sheriff Brad Hardel said.
Robby Kuenzi now faces five charges of mistreatment of animals. While the State asked for bail to be set at $10,000 for the crimes, his defense believed the charges warranted a simple signature bond. The judge set bail at $1,000.
"There are parts of this case that are unpleasant, yet there are a lot of other cases with more serious victimization than this, is my assertion," Robby Kuenzi's attorney, Thomas Johnson, said.
Rory is charged with six counts of mistreatment of animals and faces two theft charges. His bail was set at $25,000.
According to another source, (WFRV) this prize of a man Kory is accused of homicide but nothing's been done so far.
But court records allege Rory Kuenzi is a suspect in the 2004 death of Kevin McCoy, who was struck by a vehicle while walking home from a party in Farmington.
Waupaca County District Attorney John Snider says the investigation has been set back by a bungled reconstruction effort. The case was later sent to the State Patrol for a reconstruction report, and there it remains.

I'm glad they caught these guys. It sounds like they could be the ones I've read about who also ran over a group of ducks and I think some other animals in that area.

Another person stepped forward and admitted to the death of the ducks. As far as I know he hasn't been charged, still under investigation.
The "Thrill Killers" should be charged to the fullest extent of the law. One of them stopped on top of a deer, then reved his sled and took off. They are beyond sick!

From the report I saw they weren't drinking which is even scarier that they were sober and did this.

Jeez, must be the first time they weren't driving drunk, the Kuenzi's have a long list of DWIs.
I imagine they just ran the deer until they were exhausted trying to run in the snow, then drove over them when they went down. What a bunch of sorry excuses for human beings.

I think the maximum penalty for animal cruelty is only ten years. That doesn't seem long enough to me. Maybe they can be charged seperately for each deer and get life in prison. If they can do something like that to a defenseless animal there's no telling what they're capable of. They must belong to Future Jeffery Dahmers of America Club or something.

I heard last night on the news that right before Kevin McCoy was "accidental" killed by Rory Kuenzi they were in a fight at the party.
Isn't that's too much of a coincidence? You get into a fight with a guy, a little later he is walking home from the party and you run him over him with your car.
No, nothing suspicious there.
