Default Originally from on the Lake

thinking about moving back home, I am from north of milwaukee on Lake Michigan. I don't necessarily want to move back to same town but thought I might try Madison. The thought of living in a college town and having some amenities intrigues me, what do you think the difference is in the weather. Any at all or about the same. Not really sure why I think it might be different just the fact that it is more south and west of the lake. The wind maybe, or lake affect?

I doubt if you would notice much difference between the weather in Milwaukee and Madison, besides the lake effect. Cooler in the summer and more snow in the winter.

Depends upon how far north of Milwaukee we're using as a comparison.
If you are coming from north of Sheboygan, the biggest difference is that it greens-upabout 2 weeks-month (depending upon year) sooner in Madtown.

Definitely cooler near the lake especially north of Sheboygan. The snow thing varies, this year the lakeshore has had alot of snow, last year it was central and more south with the higher amounts.
