Does anyone know if in Appleton there is a place that you can rent for weekly rental?
A place that you can rent for weekly rental to stay? I know I could rent a hotel for a week and pay the say 68.00 nightly fee but like down here we can rent a hotel for a week and it is at a reduced cost for weekly rental
Thank you very much for any help you can provide

Is the hotel "down there" a chain hotel? If so, you might try searching the hotel's main website to see if there is a location in or around Appleton.

When I worked in the Hotel industry for a very brief time, we were told to give reduced rates for extended stay if people asked. Might not be a bad thing to look at.

Are you going to be staying for just one week, or one week at a time here and there or for a period of several weeks? If it'll be for several weeks, you could try to find a short-term rental (apartment, house). In these economic times you could very well find a landlord or homeowner who would be willing to do something like that to have a little bit of cash coming in.

my husband has found people on craigslist in the past, when he has traveled for business. he has found many nice people around the country who have allowed him to stay at their home or apartment for a few days for as low as $25/night.
you have to be careful though, as with anything else. i personally prefer hotels, but he is more of a people person than I am.
often you can find someone who is willing to put you up for a few nights for a few bucks.

One note.
I use Priceline a lot and have received the Extended Stay Hotel near the Fox River Mall for about $28/night plus tax. While I am NOT a great fan of that chain, the Appleton property was by far the BEST ESA hotel I have been to. Spotlessly clean with OUTSTANDING friendly staff.
You will not confuse the ESA with the Marriott or Hyatt BUT you do have a kitchenette, full cable and a fairly comfortable, if small, room.
