Default Where Did Winter Go?

Wow! This weather is salve for my soul. It's absolutely spectacular.

For all the long-time Wisconsinites here, in your experience....when it's warm like this at this time of the year, does that mean we're in for an early Spring (crosses fingers)?

If I had to guess, I'm would say we'll get 1 possibly 2 big snowfalls yet. I sure hope I am wrong though. We may get some single digit temps yet as well. That is almost a guarantee.

Again, I sure hope I am wrong. Mother Nature is such a tease though.

She is a tease and I'm with you Hank, I think we're in for a snowfall or two! Last year at this time I was having major remodeling done (2 bathrooms) and they brought a snow blower with them to help me with the snow around the 15th!

I sure am enjoying the break, great to get outside without the scarf, gloves and hat!

It's about 10 degrees warmer in Southeastern WI than it is in Phoenix right now, and we had 2 inches of rain last night. The whole time I was thinking, "this feels like spring in Wisconsin".

Enjoy the weather.

I love this weather break we're having, but I don't think we'll have an early spring. We just need to get out and enjoy it while it last.

I'm sure we'll have a few more snowfalls. Usually the biggest ones are in February and March, so don't put the snowblower away yet.

Just got back from a week in Albuquerque, NM last night and I come out to find a daytime here in the MKE area of sunny and around 60 degrees.

Now, there are persistent gale-force winds (gusts up to 40 mph) blowing like crazy, too, however, I guess beggars can't be choosers! It feels great / I surely am not complaining.

But winter's not even close to done yet, sadly. Look at National and Local Weather Forecast, Hurricane, Radar and Report and your city's 10-day forecast. Here in MKE, 40 degrees and rain tomorrow, and then a return to the reality of 30s and 20s for the rest of the time (although not quite the painful temps that we were having in Jan/early Feb).

Hopefully though we'll have more "breaks" like this in March and April, which some years happen much more than others.

I just hope the snow isn't heavy from now on. It was nice all winter with the light fluffy snow.

We have had a wonderful spell of weather the last few days. We have been outside walking. The dog loves it.
The kids at daycare are loving being outside. The littlest ones haven't been outside since December so they loved going out in the strollers today.
