Where is the best place to stay in Door County?
I'm talking about scenic, quiet, quaint, not too crowded. We're going near the end of May.
We're not fancy people- don't need anything elaborate but we do like clean, cottage or cabin type settings.
Any ideas?

We've found a bed-n-breakfast in Sister Bay that we really like a lot; quiet, comfortable, a total of six sleeping rooms in an historic home half a block off the highway through town, and incredibly friendly, welcoming innkeepers. They make amazing breakfasts, too. We've stayed there every time we've visited Door County. It's perfect for a fifty-something couple, although if you travel with youngsters, you may not find it as ideal for you.

French Country Inn in Ephraim. Very clean and quiet, in the most scenic town in Door County. The innkeeper is terrific.

Not fancy, clean, scienic? Alpine Lodge (Egg Harbor) has cottages right on the water,walk to town,its been there forever.
