If you don't live near a lake to swim in that could be tough. Madison isn't much if any different than where you're coming from. Someone said earlier Colorado Springs would be a option. Man talk about dry, try here in Salt Lake City. The lotion becomes your friend. We're talking dry. In the summer if it get's to 105 degrees (rare) it's no problem if you're not working hard outside or better yet in the shade. Comfy as could be with a breeze. Without the humidity it's surprising how comfortable the human body can be. yeah nope, I don't miss that humidity at all. I miss the local beers, brats, cheese and lakes up north, but NOT the humidity.

wonkymom is on a distinguished road
Im actually looking to move to Arizona for some DRY HEAT!
I've lived in Wi all my life, been in the milwaukee/waukesha areas and will say the winters are tough and then when you are awaiting a relief from the winters, you get socked by the wet summers and HUMIDITY usually is always an issue when temps reach mid 70's and higher! Actually it is the DEWPOINT....where I consider comfortable is high 40's to low 50's dewpoints (most people consider this comfortable for warm weather dewpoints) we get some brutal dewpoints (60's to even low 70 dewpoints) ok this is nothing to the southern states but none the less it is like walking into a bathroom after someone has taken a shower.....very THICK air...and combine that with high 80's and YES sometimes even 90's , that is HELL to me at least....
To me there just isn't much in between in this state...either cold, damp, cloudy snowy, or wet, humid, and warmer...reallly not much sunshine either! we tend to have more of bad weather days then good weather days....but when you get the blessing of a few good days of sun and warmth with low humidity for the week/month...lol...everyone and I mean EVERYONE is outside....it's kinda funny! otherwise we are hermit crabs hiding in our house...with either heat or A/C on! LOL...
Sorry...I just really hate the weather in this state..otherwise it is ok....
