Default Wisconsin VS Minnesota...

Our plan is to move to the Superior/Duluth area in about 5 years.

My question is, in regards to taxes, insurance, car registration, car taxes, cost of living ...etc... which state is better to live in?

Thanks!

Wisconsin property taxes are higher, but Minnesota income tax, car registration and some other fees are higher. Once you tally them all up they come up pretty equal. Live in the state you like better.

MN is a no-fault state so their car insurance rates are higher as well. Schools are excellent in both states.

if your trying to decide between duluth and superior, my advice is duluth. the view and the smell are better there because as they say in duluth about superior, "sh*t rolls downhill". i think there is more to do in duluth than superior as well. over all a much prettyer city than flat boring superior. just remember when the bar closes at midnight in duluth, you can catch a cab over to superior to keep partying till 2:30 on weekends and 2 on weekdays
