There you have it, Mountain if you want to live in the great unspoiled outdoors.

Green Bay if you want a decent job, then you can always travel to Mountain on vacations and weekends.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

Mountain ( the whole forest area up there ) is a beautiful place to visit. Spent many days in my teens visiting grandparents in the Mountain/Lakewood area. Loved the tranquility. But a very "rural" location to live in. I've had years that I had to run routes in winter in the 'northwoods' where there was no snow to speak of, just killing their economies. And others where you needed a snowmobile to get around town.
As has been noted by many WI residents ( which I was until Feb ), Green Bay will give you many more options to live with. Either way though, if you choose to move to Wi or the midwest, better take up winter hobbies so you can enjoy the transition more.
As for 20 above, i've seen that for a low down here; everyone then talking about the extreme cold temps. That ( and a dusting of snow to cancel school ) just makes me laugh. I hear "20 degrees"; and I say "if it's above zero that's pretty darn nice for winter"...
And for those who have never ventured outside with double digits below zero, or drifts of snow up to or over your car--we don't kid when we say how hard those moments can be...
But on the flip side; if you were able to work from home, and didn't need to travel on those extreme days and liked to have some solitude --give the Mountain area a visit.
