Cabin up north...
How about any suggestions for a nice little cabin
up north to rent for a week with fishing within walking
distance from the cabin ? It must be clean with cooking
and toilet facilities for the girls.
Thanks / Murder

Murder, I'd check CL because their is alot of folks that rent out there cabins through CL. I will send you a dm to a link for a cabin in Minocqua that we use each year. The owners are from IL and are very very hospitable about the place.

I will see if I can find the link to the cabin we stayed at last year. It was to the west of Minoqua about 5-6 miles. Good bass fishing. How much are you willing to spend for the week's rental?

Hayward area has quite a few so does Rhinelander area. Pick a town and start looking for cabin rentals or resorts that have cabins.

Found it. This is where we stayed last July.
Millers Pine Haven Resort
Very nice place. We had a dog, so we got the crappier of the 2 cabins. The other cabin is quite modern. The one we stayed in was older with older cabinets, stove, refridge, etc.
The treehouse log cottage is the good one. It is right on the lake. The other cottage is on the same land, maybe 200 ft up from the Treehouse.
The owner lives down the road. As I said, it was good bass fishing. and very quiet.

There are some beautiful cabins and vacation spots in Bayfield County. here's a link to Iron River's CoC, we used to live up there and absolutely LOVED it!

As such real estate was the most overbuilt category during the boom of the last decade finding a cabin in any N. Wisc. County will be very easy.
In my opinion.

What fish are you looking for mainly? Figure that out pick a town up north mentioned before use DNR website for best lakes with fish want and go from there.

Yep, Minoqua is great, I'd try there. We were up JULY 4th week in 2007, and it was reasonable but not too rural, meaning there were plenty of places to eat, etc. I can't remember the name of the place, however...
