Hi there. I know this is an older thread, BUT....

I am looking at moving to the Pheonix area in the next few months.

How do you like AZ? Anything you don't like?
Likes:
Great weather November - March
Endless city activities, malls, restaurants, night life, etc
Lots of lakes for the summer
Cool mountain towns for weekend trips
Miles of off road trails
Seems to be a good job market, I'm in the military so I 'm not sure

Dislikes:
Too many people, even in the mountain towns
Traffic
Crime
Illegals
110 degree weather Jun - Aug, still 90 degrees at 5:00 am. 100 in May and Sep. 95 in Apr and Oct.

If you like the city and indoors you will probably enjoy it. It's a huge city, with a little of everything. It's a 70 mile trip to one of my friends houses and you never leave town.
Houses are incredibly cheap right now. The place is still growing like mad so I guess people like it.

Thanks!! I am an inside gal, so the heat probably won't bother me alot. I DETEST the snow and cold here from November - April. Hate driving in it, hate removing it, just plain hate it. May - September is buggy and humid, again hate that. A couple weeks in October are not so bad though...lol

I am from a small town, so am not used to hordes of people, but did really like the little of everything available when I was there in January so I am thinking I will adapt.

Cool. Either stay inside or in the water in the summer and you'll be ok.
