Question about northern Wisconsin
Does anyone know what the highest rated hospital in the northern Wisconsin area is? Which towns are the best regarded when it comes to quality healthcare?
Thanks

Anywhere there is a Ministry Healthcare you will find good care. If you tell me what else you want besides healthcare I can run it by my hubby. How big of a town, schools etc.

In terms of specifics I would like to know which town with a population between 4K-75K has the best overall healthcare. Does a specific rating system exist?
Thanks

Aspirus Hospital in Wausau was voted in the top 100 hospitals in the U.S. by some medical magazine. How far north are you looking?

Thanks for the info. In terms of scope I am referring to communities in the northern 1/3 of Wisconsin along and north of Wausau.

Eagle River, Park Falls and Rhinelander are all part of Ministry. Howard Young is good and located in Woodruff.

For NE Wisc, I'd say the Aurora Healtcare system.
For N Central, there's Aspirus or Ministry.
Outcomes in all 3 are dependent upon individual care providers, as some are great and some are lousy- in all 3 systems.
But in my opinion, it is all US healthcare, and therefore it's all about $$ over people.

Northern Healthcare
Minocqua has Howard Young Hospital and it's Docs...also Marshfield Clinic ..which is top notch with all specialities. I lived in Wausau forever and moved up here...found no problem with the health care availability.

Your best health care in the Northwoods is to stay healthy. Eat right, get plenty of rest and exercise. Also get a first aid kit and if you want to get real sick goon vacation to Madison.

Marshfield Clinics are growing and Marshfield hospital being south of what asking is main part of it all but good. I used Minocqua clinic many times for pain treatments and I live 90 miles from there, but is where they reffered me to.
