Longwood Owen Withee Greenwood Wisconsin Area (employment, living in, military)

I left the country life outside of Owen Wisconsin in 1986 for the military and can't wait to return! I never wanted to leave but wanted better employment than I could get from a small town. I currently live in Phoenix and can tell you that I would rather have Wisconsin winters than Arizona summers. I can also do without the traffic, crime, crowds, and a yard measured in square feet. I have property waiting for me and think about it every day. Someday soon I will be back where I don't need to lock my doors, have acres of my own, friendly people, no traffic, and only birds to listen to when I'm home. 500 of the original 740 acres from 100 years ago still remain in my family. Nice pictures. That's why we love WI. We feel so safe here. Never lock the doors, leave the keys in the car etc.
I like winter so I would take it over the AZ heat too. Hurry back!

Welcome back! Great pictures. It's difficult to describe the peaceful way of life in this area. I too left for cities and better job opportunities and I'm glad I got to experience that, but I prefer the serenity here and the honesty and characters of the people here.

Not returning until about 2012. Whenever I visit, it takes a couple of days to slow down and adjust. I like the simple life and not the "trying to keep up with the Jones' " lifestyle. Living in the country, actually makes it kind of fun to go to the city once in a while to shop instead of an everyday annoyance.
