I dunno man, I don't like the big lakes where you can barely (if at all) see the other side. I think others got it right when they talk about the Oneida/Vilas area. I love the Eagle River chain of lakes; I love the fact that you can explore endless miles of lakeshore by boating from lake to lake, and yet still get the intimate Northwoods feel of being on a small lake. Same with the Chippewa flowage over by Hayward.

Great point. I don't have any sort of attachment to these lakes I just visited Green Lake the other day and thought it would be fun to post a list of lakes here and see which ones all of you would choose. Vilas county does have some beautiful lakes.

I can't vote as I haven't seen 2 of the 5. If money were no object, I'd like to be on a small lake with no big motors so I could row or use a little trolling motor, maybe a pontoon!!!

Ya know, any water is good. I remember some good times in mud puddles when I was little. Of course, mom was unhappy with me...

So many reasons why choose one over the other.
But why wouldn't the second largest body of water in Wisconsin not be on the list?
Lake Koshkonong on Rock River.
I boat on it and fish and snowmobile for 15 years and love it for many reasons.
That would be my reason to vote for it... but I can't!
