If I would move anywhere in that direction it would be Sturgeon Bay. It is a slightly bigger town with more things to do as a family.
Or, getting just outside of Door County about 18-20 miles from Sturgeon Bay is Algoma. This is another beatiful, quaint town on Lake Michigan mabye a half an hour to forty-five minutes from Green Bay.
I've been to Sister Bay and Sturgeon Bay, have a relative in Algoma.

Sister Bay is right out of a postcard, neat town, tourist-y, yes, but neat place.

My relative really likes Algoma. Housing market, for what they were looking for, was VERY reasonable, and that was 3 years ago.

Algoma is still more affordable, and is a reasonable drive to "Door" for all the 'stuff''. It does get very foggy on occasion.
