The "der-hey" accent and the fact that WI people think that anyone living south of Chicago has a southern accent. (as in "I tink youse guys must be from da Sout"..) The weather is horrid, especially the late fall and early spring gloom. Other than that, I love WI and, of course, the Packers!

Personally having stayed in Chicago, WI, and now Charlotte, I can honestly say....not much. We plan to retire in WI but thats kinda a far way off (I'm 26).

Oh wait I thought of one...THE PACKERS

When I was growing up in Madison, I found it annoying that the rest of the state seemed to think that was weird, you're not one of us, sucks for you, etc.

People who wish they lived elsewhere but can't get up the gumption to do anything about it so they sit and complain instead.

Default Doyle's not great but

Doyle's not a great governor but he got in and stayed in because of the lack of competence of his immediate predecessor and the alternatives. The bulk of the state's economic decline has happened while Republicans held the legislature, and the decline began with a Republican governor. There is shared responsibility here.

And I am not going to complain about the taxes. Please, I've been places with double the sales tax and higher property taxes. The low sales tax is one reason why the property taxes are as high as they are; plus, many of our fees are low compared to "low tax" states.

The weather is bad in its cold and winds.

Shocking alcoholism and obesity here.
