Smile Please recommend a pretty lake

We'll be visiting my relatives in Appleton next summer (they just visited us a few weeks ago, so next year is our turn to travel).

We'd like to find a nice lakefront rental not too far from Appleton. A good area would be Legend Lake, which seems to be about an hour north of Appleton. My relatives have a little lakeside cottage near Legend Lake, and although they've invited us to stay there with them there, I think allowing everyone to have their own space would be better.

I'd love to hear your suggestions about other nearby lakes to check out, house rentals, as well as Bed & Breakfasts or a nice lodge. I checked out Lakehouse-dot-com, and VRBO-dot-com, but didn't find too many rental listings.

Wisconsin has beautiful lakes, I'm looking forward to this trip already! TIA!

How about something in Waushara County or Waupaca County? Both those counties have tons, and tons of lakes.

Cities within those counties could be Wautoma, Waupaca, Redgranite, Lohrville, The list goes on. I'd check CL.

Thanks Josh! It's been a long day and my brain must be tired ~ I should check "CL?" (CL...CL...what's CL?) Once I know what it is, I'll check it!

gossi1 is on a distinguished road
Minoqua has some nice lakes, with reasonably priced small resorts. Less $$$ than Lake Geneva area.
