Default Fishing the Mississippi

Hey All, I was on an overnight fishing trip this last weekend on a floating barge. It was really cool. It was my first time to fish the Mississippi and I was wondering about a few things that our group caught.

Does anybody know about Sheeps Head fish and whether they are worth eating?

Has anyone ever caught a clam while fishing, and are clams from the Mississippi eaten?

I am also interested in fishing the Mississippi again, has anyone rented one of the houseboats available and stayed out for a day or so, how did you like it, what were the highs and lows?

Thanks again for your input and time.

There are other photos in my Album

Don't know for sure farmer, but those look like zebra mussels. A non-indigenous little creature causing problems where ever they seem to set up shop. Definitely don't want to eat them.

p.s. Best of luck with the "cow situation".
