i need some information - its vital for me (Green Bay: lawyer, house)

Hello my name is Troy
First of all i have no idea how to go about wording this. when i was younger i attended a elemetary school in marion wisconsin. I have extreme mental issues since and have seeked professional help for all my life. I recently had a breakthrough of my memory. When i was in 2nd grade the teachers took a refridgerator box and painted it and put my desk in it. It was completely the most embarassing thing in my life that i have shut out. This is a very small town and my father was not a very good person and everyone knew him. I want to obtain my records from that school. I am seeking legal advice as to how i can go about filing a law suit against them. My life has been a wreck all these years. I just turned 43 and have been wondering what is wrong with me. I am not seeking pity. I hope no child will ever have to go through what i have because of this. I am outraged as to how a school and teachers could ever do this to a person. I just ran across this website and i hope i have not troubled or offended anyone here. This is something that has altered my mind pyschologicly.

As for your situation, contacting a lawyer is the most obvious course of action. If you have a history of seeking professional mental help and can document that, it would be helpful to your case.
You can do a yellow pages search for a lawyer in Green Bay or Appleton area that will suit your needs.

That's a real shame, I can't stand to see any child mistreated especially at the hands of a adult. They are supposed to be there for support, help and guidance, not to emtionally scar an innocent child. When you mentioned a refrig. box what where you refering to an actual refrigerator? If so did they remove the door? I wish you luck in your quest for peace in this life.

it was the box that they put a refrigerator in when they ship it. Big brown card board box - that they painted to look like a house - kids used to write on it I remember all kinds of bad things teachers just left it. This had been so lost in my mind it is shocking to find out they did this to me

If this is legit (dubious, but I guess possible), quit wasting time here, contact the Wi Attorney General's Office.

Something that happened that long ago, has probably run past the statute of limitations. You won't have much luck with any lawsuit at this point, just wasting your energy and time.

I guess I am just trusting by nature, because i don't feel someone would make this up. So, if it's a joke, then I guess it is on me. However, I am so sorry if this is something that truly happened to you. I would at least check with your state's attorney's office. they would be best to tell you, if you would have a cause of action. Maybe not criminal at this point. In fact, I doubt it. However, maybe they'd tell you if is actionable at all.
