hah didnt mean all of wisconsin dont get defensive...
i meant that area of the peninsula not the whole state
i am thinking about taking a trip to greenbay since im big chargers fan, and packers are one of the teams i dont hate... will be fun talking football...
and hopefully some fine women will be in GB???
k if you dont believe me on the bar situation
check out this map of my zip code
92109 bars - Google Maps
and then
sturgeon bay zip code
and then
54301 bars - Google Maps
so i need to find somewhere to go... what about going by boat to michigan across from sturgeon bay marinette or something???
other wise Milwaukee and Green Bay sound good
from the look of it on google i could visit every bar near me by the end of the trip... while i havnt even been to a quarter of the bars within walking distance
everything is more spread out in wisconsin... seems like taxis arnt existent and im going to have to depend on Designated Driver right?

Nah, we believe you. Its just that you were (and are) using WI as a general term when really you're talking about the absolutely sparsely populated Door County. WI is not all like Door County just like CA is not all like San Diego.
I mean for instance here's some bars my area: 54914 bars - Google Maps San Diego has 10x the population but Google only says 4x the results
Oh, btw, can't really help on Green Bay locations but I can tell you lots of Green Bay people come to Appleton for nightlife. That's a long drive from Sturgeon Bay though, going to stay overnight whereever you go? If you stick to downtown GB and you should find something. As far as taxis, there's lots of taxi companies. You may have to find a number to call one instead of seeing one to flag down though.
Water street in Milwaukee is a great place with lots of old retro bars and lounges. No matter where you go, GB, Appleton, Milwaukee, there's hotels downtown to stay in so you may not need a cab anyway.

Everything is more spread out in rural parts of the state, taxis are an abundance in Milwaukee but in GB/Door County...good luck

Go to Milwaukee or Madison if you want some fun bars. Since you are a college student, you will have fun in either one of those cities and find some hot girls in both cities as well. Green Bay is close to Door County, so you should definitely hit up a bar around Lambeau on game day.

Didn't I read somewhere that La Crosse has the most bars, per capita, of anywhere in the US?
We didn't get up to Door County, but we were in Green Bay a few weeks ago. Not sure if it's a great place to meet women, but there's a brewpub in the old Chicago and North Western Station called Titletown. Great food and beer. There was one hostess on at lunchtime that had the best backfield in motion that I've seen in a long time, if you catch my drift. Unfortunately, she looked like she was probably 17.
UW is said to be the big party school of the Big Ten, so if you're in Madison...
Fellow Californian here, too.
Ah, back to the land of the corner tavern! I'm from Michigan, originally.

You are the first person in recorded history to opine that Wisconsin is lacking in bars !
Sure you don't mean hip-hop clubs?
